Hugin & Munin

"Hugin and Munin are Odin’s two ravens whom he sends out each morning to fly around and collect news of the world to bring back by breakfast. They are considered to be spriritual aspects of Odin, as his way of gathering knowledge and wisdom.

Hugin (Old Norse Huginn) is derived from the word hugr, meaning “thought”, while Munin (Old Norse Muninn) is derived from the word munr but is difficult to translate directly. Munin is often considered as “Memory”.
